Tufts Grinding is seeking a full-time Control Technician I located in Chicago Heights, ILThe Control Technician will perform diagnostics, repairs, upgrades, and modernizations electrical and control aspects of machinery and equipment.
ResponsibilitiesDesigning, implementing, and supporting PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems and equipment using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram, Sequential Function Charts, and Instruction List.
Investigating and solving complex problems including electrical troubleshooting on existing machinery.
Identifies key opportunities to develop and implement new automation software and/or controls that will improve safety, efficiency, and quality.
Provide electrical troubleshooting and industrial controls support to the maintenance department.
Ability to troubleshoot wiring (point-to-point, voltage & current) utilizing a multimeterAddressing on-call requests as needed.
Being a self-starter that can work both independently and in team-based project environments.
Coordinate efforts with outside contractors.
QualificationsAssociate degree in Electrical Engineering Technology1-3 years of experience in programming/developing/configuring PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for control systems (experience with Rockwell, FactoryTalk View SE/ME, Siemens, or Omron is a plus)Autocad or Solidworks experienceAbility to read electrical schematicsAbility to address on-call requests as neededExhibit stellar math, troubleshooting, organizational, & general computer skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
Excellent communicator (written and verbal), with the ability to interact well with others.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be professional, proactive, and positive with internal and external customers and coworkers.
Individual must be able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Technical Skills:
AC motors, motor controls, and AC/DC motor drive and controls understanding including Servo motors/controllers, VFD's, motor starters, control circuits.
Working knowledge of building electrical systems including 480V 3 phase.
PLC experience (Omron, Siemens S5, and AB preferred), PC, Network, HMI programming experience.
Understands basic ladder logic and can troubleshoot based on prints.
Physical Demands:
This position requires ability in the following areas:
climbing, balancing, stooping, crawling, kneeling, exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force, finger dexterity, and reaching.
Employee is required to wear personal protective equipment as required and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
