Based in Chicago Heights, IL Nufarm is looking for a MRO stores administrator who is responsible for leading the procurement and parts inventory activities in support of the reliability, repairs, uptime and optimization of the various pieces of equipment used in the chemical manufacturing and packaging processes at Nufarm.
Overview of Job
Responsibilities:
Own and oversee the purchasing of maintenance repair and maintenance project parts for the facility and packaging and formulation equipment.
Create requisitions for parts needed for repairs and inventory spare parts for equipment including pumps, pipelines, reactors, compressors, generators, heat exchangers, filters, and agitators in operation.
Boilers, lighting, liquid bottle fillers, bottling equipment, box formers, conveyors, and other packaging line equipment.
Work alongside the Maintenance Technicians to correctly identify parts for purchasing against work orders.
Implement maintenance, procurement, and inventory tasks to ensure part shortages are minimized to increase equipment availability.
Oversee the storage and use of equipment spare parts.
Provide recommendations and a system for cataloguing spare part inventory.
Recommend spare part order and stock quantities.
Maintain vendor relationships for stocking quantities and minimizing stores valuation.
Use a Computer Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to inventory parts, record work orders and implement preventive maintenance tasks.
Develop, implement, and maintain a barcode system.
Provide cycle counts and spending and inventory reports.
Receive parts into inventory and put parts away in conjunction with mechanics.
Implement Best practices for maintenance procurement and inventory.
Develop blanket POs and repair POs for vendors and contractors.
Required Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in procurement and managing inventory in a CMMS system.
Provide guidance to maintenance team while taking ownership of procurement and parts and process outcomes.
Effectively communicate problems and solutions to team members both orally and in writing, and maintain interpersonal relationships is essential.
Must possess ability to multi-task several projects with various deadlines, establishing priorities and meeting deadlines while working in a fast-paced environment.
A keen ability to solve problems and troubleshoot equipment and process failures is essential.
Effectively deal with and handle change and uncertainty.
Adapt easily and quickly to a changing environment without losing effectiveness.
Listen well and reflect on feedback; be aware of personal strengths and weaknesses; take continuous action to improve personal capabilities.
