Plant Mgr-EPLTMN

Summary
The purpose of this position is to lead a facility management team overseeing overall operations including EHS, quality assurance, production, materials, human resources, finance, and information systems.
Duties and Responsibilities
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential duties satisfactorily:
Manage and oversee the operations of the facility including supervisors and production staff.
Maintain consistent level of communication with all employees and ensure that they understand and follow all company policies.
Hands-on leadership to facilitate growth of all team personnel.
Interaction with administrative support, reviewing daily production, EHS, Quality, HR activities, including operating, billing, and inventory reports to determine changes that need to be made in the facility
Communicate on a regular basis with Regional Manager or VP to ensure companywide goals are met.
Ensure work meets AAR requirements and quality standards
Monitoring production efficiencies throughout the facility to maintain production goals.
Liaison with customers including scheduling, technical issues or other customer requests.
Monitoring and evaluation of employee performance.
Monitoring car flow in and out of facility ensuring production commitments is met.
Reviewing budgeting, inventory, and operational effectiveness at the repair facility.
Occasional after-hours and weekend work required. Some travel required.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned including special processes.
Knowledge & Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual must possess the following knowledge, characteristics, skills and/or abilities:
Knowledge and experience of the railcar repair industry, including FRA /AAR rules and regulations.
General railcar repair procedures and work practices.
Highly Motivated; Persistent / Dedicated
Perform/ prioritize multiple tasks with attention to details.
Excellent ability to reason, make decisions and exercise / use independent judgment in various situations.
Ability to interpret and follow oral and written instructions including diagrams, blue prints and schematics.
Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills.
Ability to maintain appropriate levels of confidentiality and sensitive information.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with people at all levels of the organization.
Strong knowledge of standard Desktop Microsoft applications including: MS Windows, Office, Word and Outlook. Use database, spreadsheet, and word-processing software effectively.
Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and general public.
Ability to complete additional training or education as needed for this position.
Understanding of Quality Program.
Education and Experience
To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following education and experience:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related field with 5+ years management experience.
At least 5 years minimum experience required in railcar repair industry, including FRA /AAR rules and regulations or similar manufacturing environment with Lean Manufacturing and 5-S background.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
